KENYA TAEKWONDO JIDOKWAN FEDERATION CONSTITUTION 2024
Article I: Name and Purpose
1. The name of this organization shall be the Kenya Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation.
2. The purpose of this federation shall be to promote the practice, development, and regulation of Taekwondo within its Kenya.
Article II: Membership
1. Membership in the Kenya Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation shall be open to individuals and organizations interested in promoting the objectives of the federation.
2. Membership categories, eligibility criteria, and rights and responsibilities of members shall be determined by the Executive Committee.
3. Admission and termination of membership shall be at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
Article III: Governance Structure
1. The governing body of the Kenya Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation shall be the Executive Committee.
2. The Executive Committee shall consist of elected officers, including a President, (2) Vice Presidents, Secretary General, Treasurer, and other positions as deemed necessary.
3. The Executive Committee shall be responsible for the administration, management, and decision-making of the federation.
Article IV: Officers
1. Officers of the Kenya Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation shall be elected by the general membership for a term of five years with a provision of re-election in the subsequence elections.
2. Officers shall have specific duties and responsibilities as outlined in the federation's bylaws.
3. Elections shall be held under the procedures outlined in the federation's bylaws.
Article V: Meetings
1. Meetings of the Kenya Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation shall be held periodically to conduct business, discuss matters of importance, and make decisions.
2. The Executive Committee shall convene regular meetings and special meetings may be called as necessary.
3. Meeting procedures and quorum requirements shall be outlined in the federation's bylaws.
Article VI: Finances
1. The Kenya Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation shall operate on a fiscal year basis.
2. Financial management and budgeting shall be the responsibility of the Treasurer, under the oversight of the Executive Committee.
3. Financial records shall be subject to audit as determined by the Executive Committee.
Article VII: Amendments
1. Amendments to this constitution may be proposed by the Executive Committee or by a petition signed by a 50% +1 of the membership.
2. Proposed amendments shall be presented to the general membership for discussion and voting.
3. Amendments shall be adopted upon approval by a 50% +1 of the voting membership.
Article VIII: Dissolution
1. In the event of dissolution, any remaining assets of the Kenya Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation shall be distributed for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
2. Dissolution shall be approved by the 80% of the voting membership.
Article IX: Bylaws
1. The Kenya Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation may establish bylaws to supplement and clarify the provisions of this constitution.
2. Bylaws shall be adopted, amended, and repealed by the Executive Committee in accordance with the procedures outlined therein.
Article X: Adoption
1. This constitution shall be adopted upon approval by a 50% +1 of the voting membership.
2. The effective date of this constitution shall be determined upon adoption.
